EHAB launches WeatherWise Studio following FCA Appointed Representative authorisation — helping brokers structure parametric weather risk in under 30 minutes

New platform combines AI-assisted structuring, global weather analytics and carrier-aligned workflow infrastructure to help brokers and insurers scale parametric insurance more efficiently.

London, [28 May 2026] — WeatherWise Studio, the parametric weather structuring and workflow platform developed by EHAB, today officially launches following Ehabitation Ltd’s authorisation as an Appointed Representative of Gateway Platform Services Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 790558).

The platform — which has been in beta with selected broker partners since January 2026 — enables brokers to move from initial client discussion to structured parametric submission in under 30 minutes, reducing a process that has historically taken anywhere from several days to multiple weeks.

Built to support brokers, insurers and reinsurers operating in the rapidly growing climate and parametric risk market, WeatherWise Studio has been developed to address one of the major barriers limiting parametric adoption globally: at scale structuring complexity.

Despite increasing climate volatility, much of the world’s operational weather risk remains uninsured or underinsured. Traditional indemnity products often fail to respond fully to the financial impact of weather-driven disruption, while parametric solutions have historically required specialist meteorology, actuarial and data-science expertise that many brokers have not had easy access to.

WeatherWise Studio has been designed to reduce those barriers.

The platform helps brokers originate opportunities that may otherwise never reach the market, while also improving workflow efficiency and submission quality for deals already being placed today. Using AI-assisted structuring tools, historical weather modelling and standardised workflow infrastructure, brokers can build and analyse weather-linked covers across rainfall, wind, temperature, wildfire and natural catastrophe exposures globally.

The platform combines more than 45 years of global weather history at approximately 9 km resolution with a growing library of industry-specific parametric structures spanning renewable energy, construction, logistics, agriculture, hospitality, commercial real estate and infrastructure.

Where standard structures are insufficient, brokers can upload client loss data and use WeatherWise Studio to identify weather variable combinations most closely linked to operational or financial exposure, significantly reducing the time and specialist resources traditionally required to structure bespoke parametric solutions.

Brokers can visualise historical weather events affecting a client location, analyse how often a structure would have triggered historically, and use that information to support coverage discussions and improve client understanding of parametric product coverage.

For carriers and underwriting teams, the platform provides:

  • Structured and standardised submissions
  • Historical simulations and reconciled weather datasets
  • Carrier-aligned workflow routing based on underwriting appetite
  • Simplified broker engagement workflows
  • Ongoing trigger monitoring and settlement data reconciliation support

As demand for climate and weather-linked protection accelerates globally, WeatherWise Studio has been designed to help brokers and carriers scale parametric transactions more efficiently through structured workflows, standardised analytics and improved operational coordination. Carriers retain full underwriting authority at all times, with current workflows operating on a referral and prior-submission basis.

WeatherWise Studio is currently being trialled by 10 active broker teams globally, including specialty and large-market participants whose client networks span more than 150 countries. The platform is supported by a growing network of direct insurers, Lloyd’s syndicates and reinsurance partners providing access to aggregate capacity in excess of $350 million.

The platform is also available as a SaaS analytics and workflow solution for enterprise users seeking weather-risk quantification, signal design, portfolio monitoring and operational climate-risk analytics outside of insurance placement.

Commentary

Josh Graham, Chief Executive Officer, commented:

“Parametric insurance has historically been constrained not by demand, but by operational complexity. Many brokers simply haven’t had the tooling, analytics or workflow infrastructure required to confidently bring these opportunities to market.

WeatherWise Studio was built to reduce those barriers — helping brokers structure opportunities more efficiently, helping carriers receive more consistent and higher-quality submissions, and ultimately helping expand access to parametric protection globally.

We see the platform as infrastructure designed to support the existing market ecosystem by improving how brokers and carriers collaborate around weather and catastrophe risk.”
