How can I add a new project?
Adding a new project is simple. You will require at least Division level permissions and you simply head to the admin screen and follow these instructions.
How can I add a new user?
Adding a new user is simple. You will require at least Project level permissions and you simply head to the admin screen and follow these instructions.
How can EHAB help me re-price my contract?
Using the Variance dashboard you can compare two versions of your plan and we will highlight to you the variation in the expected weather days at different confidence levels. You can use this data to justify the inclusion of the correct amount of Time Risk Allowance (TRA) in your programme.
How will EHAB help me reduce weather risk?
There are a number of ways that EHAB can reduce your weather risk and climate exposure. You can find more detailed information on the platform pages here: Weather Baseline, Enhanced QSRA, Mitigation Option Analysis, Short Term Planning, Variance Analysis, Compensation Events, Parametric Insurance. (separate links to new pages)
How does EHAB conduct weather risk assessments?
Our model leverages hyper-local weather data sets with many years of weather data. We create a microclimate model by running climate trend analysis on this data to understand the changing patterns of weather in that specific location. We consume plan data and match this to our default risk matrix, or allow users to modify and upload their own. We run thousands of simulations using our own enhanced monte-carlo simulation. This provides a probabilistic distribution of impact for your whole project. On top of these results we have built several dashboards which help you to measure, minimise and mitigate this risk.
How can I use EHAB to enhance how I bid for work?
Everyone knows that bids can be time consuming and with noe guarantee of success. The EHAB platform allows you to run a state of the art weather assessment in a fraction of the time it would take to do manually and using much larger datasets and statistical methods than are readily available. This allows you to know how much weather risk is actually present at that location and based on your current plan. You can choose to do with this information as you wish, but at least you can have greater confidence in the risk you are actually taking.
What is the largest plan size that EHAB can handle?
There is no limit to the size of plan EHAB can handle. However, for plans over 50,000 lines there will be a slight increase in loading time on the initial model run.
How accurate is the EHAB forecast data?
EHAB uses data from IBM, which is consistently ranked as one of the most accurate providers of forecasting data globally.
What kind of weather data does this tool use?
This tool uses comprehensive weather data that includes real-time and historical weather data, such as temperature, precipitation and wind speed. We leverage the state of the art IBM fore engine for our forecasts, which uses machine learning to adjust and improve results provided. Soon we'll be adding more weather types to our modelling, such as wave height, snow and others.
How accurate is the weather prediction on this tool?
The tool uses state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms and a large dataset of historical weather information, making its predictions highly accurate. However, as with any weather forecasting tool, there's always an element of uncertainty due to the inherently unpredictable nature of weather phenomena.
Can this tool help in project planning and scheduling?
Absolutely. By providing weather risk analysis well in advance, the tool can assist in scheduling construction activities, optimising resource allocation, and minimising potential weather-related delays.
What are the system requirements to run this tool?
Typically, if you are using an up-to-date web browser then you will be able to easily interact with the EHAB platform. When conducting our tech readiness assessment, as part of our white glove onboarding, we will ask you to confirm if your organisation has any security in place that could prevent you from accessing our tool via the cloud.
Is the data provided by the tool real-time?
Yes, the tool provides real-time weather data and updates regularly to provide the most accurate and up-to-date information possible.
How much does it cost to use this tool?
We have a free forever version (Starter) for short term planning for site teams, you can sign up here. We have a Pro version with access to all of the powerful modelling features of our EHAB engine. This starts at £150 per month/1000 lines in your plan, please contact sales here for a quote. If you wish to access the Enterprise plan features then please get in touch with us to discuss.
Does the tool integrate with other software we are using?
The tool is designed to integrate with a variety of other software systems commonly used in the construction industry. We integrate with several planning softwares and their file formats: MPX, MPP, MSPDI, MPD, Planner, Primavera P6, Primavera P3, Primavera SureTrak, Powerproject, Phoenix, Fasttrack, GanttProject, TurboProject, ConceptDraw Project, Synchro Scheduler, Gantt Designer, SDEF, Schedule Grid, Project Commander. We also integrate with some QSRA softwares: Primavera Risk Analysis, Acumen Risk (Deltek) and Nodes & Links.
Is our data secure with this tool?
Yes, data security is a top priority. We are a Cyber Security Essentials certified business and have a constantly evolving cyber security posture, ensuring the utmost protection of all our client’s data.
Can the tool be customised according to our needs?
The tool is highly adaptable to different construction companies and the way they manage risk. We integrate with many different softwares and if on the enterprise plan we can discuss specific upgrades or customisations.
Is there a trial period to test out the tool?
Yes, we offer a free trial period so you can see firsthand how the tool can benefit your operations. We also offer a free forever version of our short term planning tool. Please click here to get in touch with the sales team to access your free trial
Can the tool be used on multiple sites simultaneously?
Yes, the tool is designed to handle multiple construction sites, each with its own set of unique weather conditions and risks.
